Leading Florida Engineering Company Provides Guidance on Milestone Inspections, Recertifications, and Property Condition Assessments
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — DDA Forensics connected with Florida property managers, HOA and condominium association boards, building owners and industry professionals at the Palm Beach Condo & HOA Expo, sharing practical guidance on Florida’s evolving building requirements. The company serves southeast, southwest and central Florida with milestone inspections, recertifications and property condition assessments. The event took place April 21 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center and provided industry professionals with a full day of networking, education and collaboration.
Managing Partner Jonathon Diego and Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, PE, shared information on statutes, deadlines and the real-world challenges facing community associations. Discussions focused on compliance timelines, early risk identification and making informed decisions that protect both life safety and long-term property value.
“Florida’s requirements are evolving and can vary by jurisdiction, and many associations are trying to interpret what that means for their specific buildings. We bring clarity to that process by identifying structural concerns early, explaining the findings in a way boards can act on to help them move forward with confidence,” Ibrahim said.
Ibrahim leads the development and oversight of the company’s milestone inspection and recertification division, where he manages structural condition assessments, restoration initiatives and building recertification programs throughout Florida, ensuring full compliance with evolving state and local requirements. He is also a postdoctoral associate at Florida International University, where he conducts ongoing research in structural and wind engineering. His work focuses on wind effects on coastal homes, hurricane-induced damage assessment and wind-structure interaction under extreme events.
The DDA Forensics team includes professional engineers (PE), Ph.D. level engineers and diplomates of forensic engineering (DFE), bringing a forensic perspective to building assessments. By combining academic research with hands-on field experience, DDA delivers findings that are clear, concise and conclusive, giving property stakeholders the information they need to act.
“Serving as an HOA board member, property manager or commercial building owner in Florida, one of the toughest regulatory environments in the country, is no small task. DDA Forensics helps simplify it with streamlined milestone inspections, property condition assessments and recertifications, backed by leading engineers and clear, concise, conclusive inspections. We had a lot of productive conversations at the Palm Beach HOA event,” Diego said.
