Brian Peterson founded DDA Forensics (DDA) in 2018, leveraging over 15 years of specialized experience in insurance claims handling and complex dispute resolution. As a seasoned Property Insurance Expert Consultant, Certified Mediator, and Corporate Representative, Brian leads the team at DDA Forensics in assisting clients, including insurance carriers and legal professionals, ensuring accurate and fair claim and dispute resolutions.
Brian’s journey in the insurance industry began in 2008 as a Field Adjuster, where he handled claims for numerous carriers throughout Florida. After rapidly establishing his niche for thorough and detailed assessments, he was recruited to work across Alabama and Mississippi as a Lead Small Business Evaluator, assessing business interruption claims following the catastrophic BP Oil Spill. In 2012, Brian responded to superstorm Hurricane Sandy, documenting, investigating, and assisting in the resolution of catastrophic claims throughout New Jersey and New York. In 2013, Brian joined Citizens Property Insurance as a Litigation/Mediation Specialist in Miami, where he applied his advanced negotiation skills to settle complex claims throughout Florida, further honing his expertise in mediation and litigation. Aside from his day-to-day responsibilities with DDA, Brian continues to be a sought-after Corporate Representative on complex, high-exposure claims, regularly eclipsing loss values of $5 million dollars.
Throughout his career, Brian has managed, negotiated, and testified in countless high-stakes claims arising from catastrophic weather events, including Hurricanes Ian, Michael, and Irma in Florida, Hurricane Ida in Louisiana, the BP Oil Spill along the Gulf Coast, and superstorm Sandy. His comprehensive understanding and expansive expertise on insurance policies and negotiation techniques extends across a wide range of perils, including tornadoes, hailstorms, fire, and flood events. Brian’s unique, detailed, and methodical approach to the evaluation of cases laid the groundwork for DDA Forensics’ culture and approach, ensuring all opinions are clear, concise, and conclusive.
Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Florida International University.
