Managing Partner Shares Key Insights on Estimating

TAMARAC, Fla.DDA Forensics managing partner, Jonathon Diego, presented at the South Florida Claims Association (SFCA) Day of Education on May 3 from 1-2 p.m. The educational forum was held at the Colony West Golf Club in Tamarac. DDA Forensics was also an exhibitor table sponsor.

Diego’s popular presentation, “Estimating: Exposure is in the Details”, provides a contextual overview of the field adjuster’s role in reaching an equitable indemnity payment while simultaneously minimizing exposure. The course provided attendees with an understanding of how risk is created through the actions or inactions of claims personnel when handling losses, and how those actions impact the claim’s life through litigation. The presentation was open to all licensed Florida adjusters and SFCA members.

“In today’s complex claims environment, a thorough and detailed approach to estimating is crucial. My presentation dives into the key factors that can significantly impact estimates. I’m passionate about educating the industry and continuing to share advanced insights and strategies with claims professionals,” says Diego.

With extensive experience, Diego is a licensed multi-state adjuster and general contractor and has managed numerous residential and commercial claims across the nation. He holds the prestigious Xactimate Certified Trainer, Xactimate Level 3 certification; an Associate in Claims designation, and numerous esteemed accreditations including Haag Residential Roof, Commercial Roof and Wind Damage Inspector certifications. He also holds the Level 1 Certified Thermographer; IICRC’s Water Restoration Technician and Applied Structural Drying; Tile Roofing Industry Alliance’s certification for Florida High Wind Zone Installer; and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead Safe Renovator certification in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.

The SFCA Day of Education features expert speakers on topics including subrogation and water damage response and recovery. The keynote speaker, Joseph F. Rich, a member at Cozen O’Connor, discussed recent changes to Florida statutes of limitations and repose. The event ended with a networking happy hour.
